Single-Vehicle Crash Statistics

It is shocking how many people are lost in California due to single-vehicle accidents. Single-vehicle accidents cause no further damage than that sustained by the involved vehicle. Possible triggers include veering off the road or colliding with a stationary object. Drunk or sleepy driving, poor visibility, and inclement weather all play a role in these mishaps.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) reported that 62% of all traffic fatalities in California involve single vehicles. Drivers in California need to be constantly vigilant in order to avoid accidents.

Multiple factors can contribute to a single-car accident. Accidents and runaways are more likely to occur on wet roads, especially when drivers are making quick or sharp turns. Potential roadside hazards include things like truck cargo and fallen trees or branches.

Your ability to recover damages in a single-vehicle accident may be severely limited by the coverage plan of your insurance policy even if the other driver was negligent.
