[10-08-2022] Man Inside Parked Car Killed in Fatal Collision in HaywardAccording to police, a man inside a parked car was killed when another driver’s car slammed into him in Hayward on Saturday, October 8, 2022.

The collision occurred just before 3:00 a.m., close to West Winton Avenue and Thunderbird Place intersection.

According to the Hayward Police Department, the man in the parked car was struck, rendered unconscious, and died at the scene.

When the police arrived, both of the severely damaged cars were still there. The driver, however, had already left the scene.

According to HPD, the occupants of the other involved vehicle left the scene before officers arrived but later got in touch with them and are cooperating with the investigation.

The victim’s identity will be made public after his family has been informed of his passing.
