According to local news, the mishap happened around 11:36 a.m. at Old Morro Road East.

The only occupant of the first car was fatally hurt. According to the police, the victim’s identity is not being released now.

According to the local authorities, the car crossed the double yellow line into oncoming traffic while traveling west on the highway. At the same time, it struck another vehicle going east head-on.

The second driver was taken to Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center in San Luis Obispo after suffering severe injuries.

A third eastbound car swerved off the road to avoid the collision, but the driver lost control, and the car hit a telephone pole.

According to the report, the third driver was unharmed.
