[10-08-2022] One Person Killed in Fatal Pedestrian Crash in San JoseAccording to the California Highway Patrol, a pedestrian was killed in a car accident early on Interstate 280 in San Jose on Saturday morning, October 8, 2022.

According to the CHP, the crash happened around 1:00 a.m. close to the southbound U.S. Highway 101 connector.
The CHP reported that a vehicle struck a pedestrian.

The CHP issued a Sig-alert with lane closures due to the collision at 1:22 a.m.

According to the CHP, all lanes had been reopened at 3:02 a.m.

The identity of the pedestrian and further details leading up to the crash are still unknown.

The collision remains under investigation.
