9 Steps to Take Immediately After A Pedestrian Accident in Los Angeles

After being struck by a vehicle, it is difficult to think coherently, let alone if you were injured. However, what you say and do at the accident scene can significantly impact the outcome of any claim you submit against the at-fault driver in the future. These suggestions may assist you in avoiding actions that could diminish the value of your personal injury claim:

  1. Immediately call the authorities and ensure that an officer creates an accident report.
  2. Take pictures of your injuries, the accident scene, the property damage, the weather, the road, and the vehicle that struck you.
  3. Take photographs of the license, insurance card, and license plate of the motorist at fault.
  4. Collect the names and contact information of all potential witnesses.
  5. Consult a physician or other healthcare professional immediately and describe every afflicted body part.
  6. Keep a journal detailing your injuries and the recovery process, including how you feel, the treatment you receive, and the costs incurred.
  7. Before speaking with the insurance adjuster or accepting a settlement offer, you should consult with an experienced attorney.
  8. Remain absent from social media and avoid publishing about your accident or its circumstances.
  9. Contact California pedestrian accident lawyers as soon as possible to discuss your case.
