[10-09-2022] One Man Arrested for DUI and Child Endangerment Following Collision in ParadiseA man identified as 32-year-old James B. was detained on suspicion of DUI and endangering a child following a collision in Paradise on Sunday night, October 9, 2022

The crash occurred around 10:30 p.m. on the 900 block of Village Parkway.

When the officials arrived, officers noticed a car leaving the area and stopped Bristow, the driver.

According to the Paradise Police Department, Bristow’s breath and body gave off an odor that was indicative of alcohol consumption.

When officers checked Bristow’s records, they discovered that he was on probation and was not permitted to consume alcohol.

Investigators discovered that the man had been driving his kids to their mother’s house when he struck two parked cars with them inside.

Bristow’s blood alcohol content was more than three times the legal limit, according to the officers, who claimed they were able to obtain an in-field breath sample.

When police placed Bristow under arrest, he became uncooperative with them and damaged the police car’s back door by kicking it.

He was detained for endangering children, vandalism, drunk driving, and violating his felony probation.
