[10-10-2022] Santa Clara County, CA – One Pedestrian Killed in Fatal Two-Vehicle Crash in Sunnyvale

Local authorities reported that a pedestrian died in a collision involving two vehicles in South Bay Monday night, October 10, 2022.

The crash occurred around 10:30 p.m. near Mathilda Avenue and Washington Avenue.

According to the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety, an adult male pedestrian was found on the scene with serious injuries when police and firefighters arrived at the scene.

The agency stated that although lifesaving measures were initiated, the pedestrian succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.

The agency reported that the drivers of both vehicles stayed on the scene and cooperated with the investigation.

The crash remains under investigation.
