[10-11-2022] Two-Vehicle Crash Left Total Wreck on the Skyway in ButteAccording to the California Highway Patrol, a two-vehicle crash resulted in total wreck and slowed traffic on eastbound Skyway in Butte Tuesday, October 11, 2022.

According to CHP, the crash occurred Tuesday afternoon on the eastbound Skyway in Butte County.

During the collision, a solitary fire was reported to have started on the shoulder of the road, as stated by CAL FIRE.

A group of motorists passing by the scene put out the fire before the fire department officials arrived.

During the time that officials were clearing the crash scene, one lane of traffic was closed. CAL FIRE has confirmed that both previously closed roads are now open.

Although there have been no reports of injuries so far, the investigation into what caused the collision is still ongoing.

There is currently no information regarding the collision; however, both vehicles were severely damaged.
