[10-11-2022] 5-Year- Old Child Killed in Deadly Single- Vehicle Crash at North San Juan CommunityAccording to the California Highway Patrol, a 5-year-old child was killed after a single-vehicle collision in North San Juan Tuesday, October 11, 2022.

The CHP reported that the fatal crash occurred at 9:10 a.m. in the North San Juan Community at Tyler Foote Road east of Oak Tree Road.

When they arrived on the scene, a 1993 Toyota Camry had veered off the road and down an embankment, colliding with a pine and a tree, which caused it to flip.

Although the driver was able to escape the car, the 5-year-old victim was left inside.

Despite performing CPR and after being taken to UC Davis Children’s Hospital in Sacramento, the girl was announced dead just after 2:00 p.m.

Drugs or alcohol were not suspected factors in the crash. Authorities are still investigating the collision.
