[10-12-2023] Riverside County, CA – Construction Worker Injured After Being Trapped in Hole on Interstate 10

A construction worker was injured after being trapped in a hole on Interstate 10 in Riverside County on Thursday morning, October 12, 2023.

The Riverside County Fire Department responded to reports of the incident around 10:42 a.m. on the eastbound lane of the interstate near Chiriaco Summit.

Reports indicate that the fire teams found the construction worker needing rescue after the worker got stuck in a 10-foot hole and needed extraction. The worker was then airlifted to the nearest hospital with moderate injuries.
