[10-13-2023] Orange County, CA – At Least Ten People Injured Following Hazmat Leak in Buena Park Building

At least ten people were injured after a hazmat leak in a Buena Park building on Friday morning, October 13, 2023.

According to the Orange County Fire Authority, the incident occurred in the 6500 block of Caballero Boulevard, near Knott and Orangethrope Avenues, at around 9:55 a.m.

Authorities said the ammonia leak caused the incident. A total of twelve unidentified people were evaluated at the scene, and eleven were transported to a local hospital in fair condition.

No further details were released. An investigation is being conducted to determine what caused the chemical leak.
