[10-18-2022] Glenn County, CA - One Person Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on State Route 162One person was injured after a two-vehicle collision in the Willows area on Tuesday, October 18, 2022.

The California Highway Patrol officers from the Willows area and an ambulance were called just after 2:00 p.m. on State Route 162 at County Road D.

Officials claim that S. Rai, 22, of Yuba City, was operating a Freightliner in the direction of State Route 162 while traveling north on County Road D.

According to CHP officials, Rai allegedly failed to yield to westbound traffic after coming to a stop at the intersection’s stop sign for an unknown reason.

M. Cohan, 30, of Willows, was driving her two young children at the time while heading west on State Route 162.

Officials claim that Rai entered the intersection directly in Cohan’s path and allowed his Frightliner’s front to collide with Cohan’s car’s left rear.

Cohan complained of pain and minor injuries due to the collision, but he was not taken to the hospital for care.

According to CHP officials, all parties involved in the collision were wearing seatbelts at the time of the incident, and drugs or alcohol did not appear to be a factor in the crash.
