Fatal Single-Vehicle Crash Statistics

Unbelievably, many people are killed in single-car collisions in California. When only one car is involved in a crash, only that car sustains damage. Different things, such as a driver losing control, colliding with something, or hitting a stationary item, might result in accidents. Low visibility, inclement weather, and drunk or sleepy driving are all factors in these collisions.

The National Highway and Road Safety Administration (NHTSA) estimates that single-vehicle accidents account for 62% of all traffic fatalities in California. Due to the numerous possible distractions on the road in California, drivers must always be on guard.

Numerous factors can lead to a single-vehicle collision. Accidents and runaways are more frequent on wet roads, particularly when vehicles are moving quickly or making sharp corners. A truckload or a fallen tree branch could create a barrier.

Your insurance policy coverage plan may severely restrict your ability to recover damages in a single-vehicle accident, even if the other driver was at fault.
