A woman was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle in San Francisco on Friday afternoon, October 20, 2023.
According to the San Francisco Fire Department, the collision occurred at 3:00 p.m. on Valencia Street near Sycamore Street.
A woman riding an electric scooter was struck after a Toyota made an illegal U-turn through an opening between the bollards surrounding the bike lanes.
The victim was found conscious but unresponsive and was taken to a local hospital. The driver, identified as a 32-year-old named Kamani, E., and a female passenger, sustained no visible injuries.
It is unclear if additional penalties were imposed on the driver. There is currently no further information available about the victim or the crash at this time.
