[10-21-2022] Alameda County, CA – At Least One Person Injured in Vehicle Collision in Newark

According to the Alameda County Fire Department, an overturned vehicle trapped and injured one person who had to be rescued in Newark Friday night, October 21, 2022.

The collision transpired Friday Evening on Balentine Drive in The Fremont Auto Mall in Newark.

One victim was found to be trapped when rescuers arrived. After using hydraulic cutters and spreaders, firefighters could free the trapped individual from the vehicle, authorities said.

When rescuers arrived, the car was on its side, and the victim was still inside. Authorities did not disclose the cause of the crash and how many vehicles were involved.

Those on Balentine Drive will find themselves close to The Fremont Auto Mall.

There was currently no other information to report. The crash is still under investigation.
