[10-24-2022] San Francisco County, CA – One Woman Killed, Another Severely Injured in Fatal Pedestrian Accident in Sunset District

According to a statement from the San Francisco Police Department, one woman died, and another was seriously hurt after a collision in the Sunset District on Monday morning, October 24.

The crash occurred at 10:52 a.m. at the intersection of 24th Avenue and Santiago Street.

Officers who responded to the scene discovered two women who had been hit by a car as well as a number of other vehicles that had also been involved in the collision.

The victim received medical attention from the officers, who also requested the arrival of emergency medical personnel.

One of the women was pronounced dead after emergency personnel arrived, and the other was taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.

Gordon Mar, the city manager, tweeted on Monday afternoon that a pedestrian had died in a collision. He asserts that the SFPD must intensify its enforcement of traffic laws.

The car’s driver was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at the hospital while remaining at the scene.
