Multi-Vehicle Collision Statistics
Over the years, traffic accidents have become a significant concern in the United States. With more people traveling on the road, more accidents also occur. Over 38,000 people are killed in traffic accidents in the United States each year.
In the United States, the death rate from traffic accidents is 12.4 per 100,000 people. The United States has the highest rate of road traffic fatalities of any high-income country, accounting for roughly half of the total in Western Europe, Canada, Australia, and Japan.
A multi-vehicle collision occurred in this case. Car accidents can happen in a variety of ways. One of them is multi-vehicle accidents. Typically, three or more vehicles are involved. A “chain reaction” occurs when one car collides with another, possibly causing the second vehicle to crash with another.
The most common cause of car accidents is driver’s negligence. Many things a driver can do that are considered negligent, and traffic laws address these mistakes with simple road rules. For example, a driver must signal turns, yield to pedestrians, and not pass school buses that are letting off students. Traffic infractions are often evidence that a driver was negligent and responsible for any injuries that occurred in a resulting accident.
