[10-25-2022] San Bernardino County, CA - Two-Vehicle Collision Results in Two People Being Injured in Northern FontanaAccording to the Fontana Police Department, two people were injured in a two-vehicle collision in northern Fontana on October 25, 2022.

According to Fontana Public Information Officer Daniel Romero, the crash transpired at about 10:15 a.m. South Highland Avenue, 16600 block, in front of Rotolo Chevrolet.

Romero reported that when police arrived, they found a 2022 Hyundai Optima traveling east on South Highland had collided with a 2004 Honda Accord that had been traveling north on Juniper Avenue and making a westbound turn onto South Highland.

After the collision, all traffic on Highland was stopped for a while.

Firefighters and medics from San Bernardino County responded to the scene and helped the two motorists who had been injured.

Firefighters used the “jaws of life” to free the Honda’s driver, who had become trapped inside his vehicle.

Each driver was injured to varying degrees, but both were taken by ambulance to local hospitals.

No conclusions have been drawn about what led to the crash yet.
