According to the local news, Dante D., a retired Standford University water polo coach, died after a fatal bicycle crash on Cañada Road on Tuesday, October 27, 2022.

The crash transpired around 4:05 p.m. in San Mateo county.

According to the local authorities, Dettamanti had struck the street sweeper from San Mateo County Public Works Department that was parked on the right shoulder of the road about a half mile south of state Route 92.
