[10-28-2023] 25-Year-Old Male Motorcyclist Killed After Vehicle Collision in CarlsbadA 25-year-old male motorcyclist was killed after a vehicle collision in Carlsbad on Saturday evening, October 28, 2023.

The Carlsbad Police Department responded to reports of the collision around 6:30 p.m. on the 4500 block of Carlsbad Boulevard.

Officers reported that the 25-year-old rider from Kentucky was driving his Kawasaki when he struck the rear of a Chevy SUV and was ejected from his bike, sustaining severe injuries. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

The 28-year-old male driver of the SUV remained at the scene, but no statements of visible injuries were made, and his condition is unknown.

The investigation into the cause of the crash and the factors involving it are under investigation.
