A 72-year-old man died after being struck by a vehicle in Yuba City on Monday night, October 28, 2024.
According to Yuba City police, the crash occurred shortly after 8:00 p.m. near the intersection of Bridge and Plumas Streets.
First responders arrived to find the man with critical injuries, and he was transported to a hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The 22-year-old driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
Authorities have stated that impairment does not appear to be a factor in the incident. The identity of the deceased has not yet been released.
The investigation is ongoing.
