[11-01-2023] San Diego County, CA – Suspected DUI Driver Arrested After Fiery Collision With MTS Bus Along SR-163 in Linda Vista

A suspected DUI driver was arrested after a fiery collision with the MTS Bus in Linda Vista, San Diego, early Wednesday morning, November 1, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened before 2:00 a.m. along the northbound lanes of State Route 163 near Genesee Avenue.

An MTS bus with only one occupant was reportedly rear-ended by a vehicle whose driver managed to get out before it burst into flames.

The vehicle driver was treated at the hospital for minor injuries before being arrested for suspected DUI. The bus driver did not sustain any visible injuries.
