[11-03-2021] Los Angeles County, CA – 12-Year-Old Boy Killed After a Two-Vehicle Crash in South Gate

A 12-year-old boy was killed while his sister was in critical condition after a two-vehicle collision involving an off-duty LA County Sheriff’s deputy in South Gate on Wednesday afternoon, November 3, 2021.

[11-03-2021] Los Angeles County, CA - 12-Year-Old Boy Killed After a Two-Vehicle Crash in South GateThe crash transpired at approximately 4:00 p.m. at the intersection of Firestone Boulevard and San Juan Avenue.

A car was reportedly turning left from Firestone to San Juan when a pickup truck suddenly T-boned the vehicle. The pickup truck was traveling at high speeds before the collision.

Due to the severity of the impact, the truck was ejected into the air and landed upside down. One of the witnesses immediately called 911.

The victims were immediately rushed to an area hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, a 12-year-old boy inside one of the involved vehicles was pronounced dead.

Meanwhile, the 12-year-old boy’s sister sustained critical injuries in the crash. The identities of the involved parties have not been disclosed.

The accident is currently under further investigation. No arrests have been made at the moment. Speed was believed to be a factor in the fatal crash.
