[11-07-2021] Riverside County, CA – One Person Killed After a Fatal Pedestrian Crash in Cathedral City

A 61-year-old man identified as Joseph G.L. was killed following a fatal pedestrian crash in Cathedral City on Sunday evening, November 7, 2021.

The crash happened in the area of East Palm Canyon Road, just east of Cree Road in Cathedral City, at around 7:30 p.m.

The victim was struck by a passing vehicle for unclear reasons and was sent into the westbound lanes of East palm Canyon due to the severity of the impact.

The victim was seriously injured in the mishap and was later pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported.

Information about the accident is limited at the moment. It’s unclear whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the fatal crash.
