[11-08-2023] Rider Killed, Family of Four Injured Following Fiery Motorcycle Collision in East OaklandA rider was killed, and a family of four was injured following a fiery motorcycle collision in east Oakland on Wednesday afternoon, November 8, 2023.

According to the authorities, the fatal collision happened before 3:15 p.m. on International Boulevard near 39th Avenue.

A motorcyclist was reportedly speeding before colliding with a light-colored SUV. The collision caused the rider to be ejected and catch fire along with his motorcycle.

The rider was found unconscious, suffering from severe burns, while a mother and three teenagers from the SUV sustained minor injuries.

All five were taken to a local hospital, where the rider was later declared dead. The condition of the other four victims remains unknown.

The authorities reported that speed was a factor in the fatal collision, but its cause has yet to be determined.
