[11-09-2021] Sacramento County, CA – Pedestrian Killed After a Fatal Hit-and-Run Accident in Arden Arcade

A 59-year-old man was killed after getting struck by a hit-and-run driver in the Arden Arcade area on Tuesday night, November 9, 2021.

[11-09-2021] Sacramento County, CA - Pedestrian Killed After a Fatal Hit-and-Run Accident in Arden ArcadeThe crash happened at approximately 9:45 p.m. near Marconi Avenue and Becerra Way in the Arden Arcade area. The 59-year-old man was struck near the shoulder area by a dark-colored Infiniti G35X traveling at high speeds. The driver did not stop to render aid and drove away from the scene.

Unfortunately, the 59-year-old pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not been disclosed.

Officers later received a report of a stolen vehicle shortly after the crash. The dark-colored Infiniti G35X was found 1.5 miles away from the scene of the crash by police officers. Officers later determined that the owner of the Infinity G35X was the hit-and-run driver.

The hit-and-run driver was identified as 27-year-old Alcier Frances A. from Carmichael. He was arrested and booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail on charges including gross vehicular manslaughter, hit-and-run causing bodily injury or death, submitting a false police report, and delaying or obstructing a peace officer.

The case is currently under further investigation.
