[11-09-2022] Tulare County, CA - Bus vs. Truck Collision Leaves Multiple Injuries in TulareThe California Highway Patrol reported multiple injuries after a crash between a Greyhound bus and a Freightliner truck in Tulare on Wednesday morning, November 9, 2022.

According to the Tulare City Fire Department, the collision occurred early morning on Highway 99 and Bardsley Avenue.

The CHP officers stated that the bus rear-ended the truck towing two tractors. The bus then crossed the center line and smashed through the guardrail dividing the northbound and southbound lanes.

An unidentified number of bus passengers received minor injuries, while two were taken to the hospital. There were 23 passengers in all on the bus when it crashed.

There was only one person on board the Freightliner when it crashed.

The Tulare County School District sent a bus to the crash to help keep the remaining passengers warm until the second Greyhound bus arrived to finish the journey.

Highway 99 was clogged with traffic in both ways while the investigation continued. Alcohol did not seem to be a factor, according to CHP officers.
