[11-09-2023] Fresno County, CA – Male Pedestrian Critically Injured After Being Struck by Vehicle Along Shaw Avenue

A male pedestrian was critically injured after being struck by a vehicle in Fresno on Thursday evening, November 9, 2023.

According to the Fresno Police Department, the collision happened around 8:15 p.m. between Shaw Avenue and Valentine Avenue.

The unidentified pedestrian was heading in a diagonal direction across the westbound lanes after exiting the crosswalk when he was struck by a vehicle.

The driver remained and tended to the victim, who suffered wounds and was taken to the Fresno Community Regional Medical Center in critical condition.

The authorities are currently conducting an investigation into the collision.
