[11-10-2022] Nevada County, CA - Motorcyclist Killed by DUI Driver in Grass ValleyThe California Highway Patrol reported that a motorcyclist was killed by a DUI driver in Grass Valley on Thursday evening, November 10, 2022.

According to the CHP, the crash that also damaged a house occurred after 10:00 p.m. on Rough and Ready Highway near West Drive.

CHP said that Ryan M., a 29-year-old resident of Nevada City, was traveling along the highway on a pickup truck when he struck the motorcyclist.

The victim, a 41-year-old Nevada County resident whose identity was not released by the police, was ejected due to the impact. He was air-lifted to Sutter Roseville Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries.

Milligan made a sharp left turn after hitting the motorcycle, sending his pickup careening through a yard and into a house’s living room. Luckily, no one was at home during the crash.

The truck driver was also taken to a nearby hospital, where he was discovered to be reportedly under the influence of alcohol. He was then arrested for felony DUI and taken to Nevada County Jail.
