Fatal Motorcycle Accident Statistics

Deaths among motorcycle riders and passengers increased by 11% between 2019 and 2020, while fatalities per 100 million vehicle miles traveled also increased by 23%.
The rider is more at risk than the other party in a motorcycle accident, and the results could be disastrous for everyone. Motorcycle riders are more likely than other drivers to suffer catastrophic and fatal injuries due to their increased sensitivity to collisions.
Helmets protect wearers from harm and lower the likelihood of fatal collisions, which has been proven to save lives. The IIHS estimates that wearing a helmet reduces the risk of motorcycle fatalities and brain injuries by 37% and 67%, respectively.
Additionally, it is recommended that you wear protective clothing, such as gloves, jackets, pants, and shoes, to reduce your chances of being injured while riding a motorcycle.
