Police officers reported that the crash transpired around 4:25 p.m. at San Bruno Avenue and Mansell Street.

According to authorities, a Tesla and a Prius were involved in the collision.

One of the cars struck a house at 3217 San Bruno, damaging the units and utility lines.

Two people had to be pried from their cars using hydraulic rescue tools, while one was rescued from a Prius.

All three victims had been treated for sustaining severe injuries.

Meanwhile, the 22 displaced residents of the three-story multi-residential building were receiving aid from the American Red Cross.

According to fire officials, the Tesla struck gas and water lines outside the house, which have since been secured.

Further investigation into the cause of the collision is still underway.
