[11-11-2022] Stanislaus County, CA – One Killed Another Injured Following Multi-Vehicle Crash near Oakdale

A driver was fatally struck and injured a passenger following a multi-vehicle crash near Oakdale Friday afternoon, November 11, 2022.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred shortly after 5 p.m. at Valley Home Road and Pleasant Valley Road intersection.

According to reports, a 16-year-old driver of a 2013 Honda traveling at 55 mph swerved in front of a 2001 Ford.

Despite its best efforts, the Ford struck a 2007 Honda passing it on the opposite side of the road.

The 2013 Honda spun clockwise before coming to a halt over a canal bridge shoulder, but after impact, the Ford struck the left side of the other Honda and overturned.

As a result, the 2007 Honda was directed to the east shoulder from northbound Valley Home Road.

The 47-year-old Stockton driver died at the scene, while the passenger was hospitalized with severe wounds.

There was no evidence of alcohol or drugs being involved in the collision.
