An unidentified man was killed after getting involved in a deadly pedestrian crash in Hollister on early Friday morning, November 12, 2021.

The victim was walking on San Felipe road when he was suddenly struck by a passing vehicle under unclear circumstances.

The driver that struck the man remained at the scene and immediately called 911. He willingly cooperated with local authorities.

Unfortunately, the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not been disclosed. No other injuries were reported.

The case is currently under further investigation. Authorities will attempt to determine whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
