[11-12-2022]Chain-Reaction Crash Involving Four Vehicles Kills One Driver near DublinThe California Highway Patrol and Dublin Police Department reported that a driver was killed after getting ejected during a multi-vehicle collision near Dublin on Saturday morning, November 12, 2022.

According to the officers, the chain-reaction crash that involved four vehicles happened around 3:00 a.m. on Interstate 680, north of Alcosta Boulevard.

The authorities said a Mercedes C230 traveling southbound on I-680 collided with the freeway’s divider wall. A Ford Fusion struck the disabled Mercedes, forcing the driver to be ejected from the vehicle.

The Mercedes then came to a stop in the right lane, where a semi-truck smashed into it before getting struck by a fourth vehicle. The driver of the Mercedes was declared dead at the scene.

The other drivers were reportedly not injured following the collision. The authorities gave no information on their identities but took some time to identify the dead driver.

From around 4 am to 7 am, the CHP blocked off southbound traffic. Alcohol is not thought to have had a role in the incident, according to the CHP.
