[11-12-2022] Amador County, CA – One Man Injured in Pedestrian Accident in Jackson

One man was injured following a pedestrian collision with a vehicle in Jackson on Saturday evening, November 12, 2022

According to the Jackson Police Department, the crash occurred at 10:35 p.m. north of Highway 49 and Scottsville Boulevard intersection.

The male driver was traveling south of 49 on a 2021 white Ford F-350 at around 45 MPH when he spotted the male pedestrian kneeling on the roadway.

To avoid colliding with the pedestrian, the driver swerved his car to the right, but the pedestrian was still struck by the left front of the car.

A female driver behind the Ford also swerved upon seeing what happened. Both cars stopped, and their drivers helped the police with their investigation.

The crash is not thought to have been caused by alcohol or drugs, and toxicology findings on the victim are still pending.
