One person sustained non-life-threatening injuries following a collision between a sedan and a box truck on the southbound Interstate 15 freeway in Victorville on Tuesday afternoon, November 12, 2024.
The crash occurred at approximately 3:40 p.m., just south of Bear Valley Road, when a gray Chevy Impala collided with a 30-foot box truck owned by HD Supply.
The impact caused the box truck to crash into the guardrail and come to a stop sideways on the freeway, while the Chevy ended up in a drainage ditch with its driver’s side trapped beneath the rear of the box truck.
Firefighters from the Victorville City Fire Department responded and performed an extrication to free the driver. The injured individual was transported by ground ambulance to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The California Highway Patrol’s Victorville station is investigating the cause of the collision.
