[11-13-2022] Trinity County, CA - Two Injured in a Go-Kart Crash in WeavervilleThe California Highway Patrol said two people got injured in a go-kart crash in Weaverville on Sunday afternoon, November 13, 2022.

According to the CHP report, the crash occurred at 1:50 p.m. on Washington Street and Highway 299.

The driver of the go-kart reportedly swerved to avoid a car, according to the initial accounts.

One of the occupants was medevacked to Redding. The other also sustained major injuries. One was a young girl who may have shattered her pelvis. Information was unclear about their identities.

Both of them were reportedly not wearing helmets, according to first responders.
