[11-13-2023] Fresno County, CA – 50-Year-Old Man Injured Following Reckless Two-Vehicle Crash on Mount Whitney Avenue

A 50-year-old man was injured after a reckless two-vehicle collision in Fresno County on Monday, November 13, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred at the intersection of Walnut Avenue and Mount Whitney Avenue.

Reports say a 61-year-old male 2001 Hyundai Elantra driver went northbound, failed to stop at a posted stop sign, and went in the way of a Toyota going westbound. The vehicles veered off the road and sheared an AT&T pole off the northwest of the road.

Toyota’s 50-year-old driver sustained minor injuries, while Hyundai’s driver sustained major injuries and was taken to a local hospital.

Drugs and alcohol were not factors in the crash, and further details are not available at this time due to ongoing investigations.
