[11-15-2022] 70-Year-Old Pedestrian Killed Following Collision in Simi ValleyA collision involving one vehicle killed a 70-year-old pedestrian in Simi Valley Tuesday night, November 15, 2022.

According to authorities, the crash was reported at around 5:34 p.m. on Alamo Street in the 2300 block.

Reports state that a Simi Valley man in his 50s was driving a Ford F-150 pickup truck when he struck the pedestrian.

When he was struck, the 70-year-old victim appeared to be attempting to cross the street near a crosswalk.

Responders transported the victim to the hospital, but he died shortly after.

Meanwhile, the F-150 driver cooperated with the police and stayed at the scene.

Initial investigation has revealed no indications of drug or alcohol use by the driver.
