A 30-year-old woman and her three-year-old child sustained serious injuries after their car crashed into a Taco Bell in Raley’s Plaza on Tuesday evening, November 16, 2021

[11-16-2021] Contra Costa County, CA - Mom and Child Hurt After a Speeding Vehicle Crashes into Taco BellThe crash transpired at approximately 6:40 p.m. in a Taco Bell in Raley’s Plaza on Main Street in Oakley.

The 30-year-old woman was reportedly speeding across a supermarket parking lot before crashing into the Taco Bell entrance. Witnesses said that the woman was driving erratically before the crash.

Emergency personnel later arrived at the scene and found the 30-year-old woman and her daughter trapped inside the wreckage. They were extricated and airlifted to different hospitals.

The 30-year-old woman was airlifted to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek, while her three-year-old was airlifted to UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital in Oakland.

It’s unclear why the 30-year-old woman was driving erratically in the parking lot. Local authorities are further investigating the cause of the accident.
