[11-16-2021] Mendocino County, CA – Pedestrian Crash in Fort Bragg Injures Two Boys

Two boys were injured following a pedestrian crash in Fort Bragg on Tuesday morning, November 16, 2021.

[11-16-2021] Mendocino County, CA - Pedestrian Crash in Fort Bragg Injures Two BoysThe crash transpired at approximately 8:00 a.m. at the intersection of Oak and Harold Streets in Fort Bragg.

Two 11-year-old boys were walking at the intersection when a passing pickup truck suddenly struck them for unclear reasons.

One of the teenagers sustained moderate injuries in the crash, while the other suffered from minor injuries. One was taken to an area hospital for further treatment, while the other received treatment at the scene.

The driver that struck the two boys remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. He claims that his vision was impaired by the sun, causing him to hit the two boys.

The accident is currently under further investigation. Authorities will attempt to determine the factors and the liability in the accident.
