[11-16-2023] San Diego County, CA – 31-Year-Old Motorcyclist Killed Following Vehicle Collision in University City

A 31-year-old motorcyclist was killed following a vehicle collision in University City, San Diego, on Thursday evening, November 16, 2023.

According to the San Diego Police Department, the fatal collision happened around 8:16 p.m. between Governor Drive and Erlanger Street.

A 66-year-old woman was in a silver 2005 Lexus SUV when she turned left and collided with the 2018 KTM dirt bike rider, who was reportedly speeding.

The victim sustained injuries after being ejected from the motorcycle and was later transported to a hospital, where he was declared dead. It is not known if the SUV driver sustained any injury or if she remained at the scene.

Additional reports say the area was dark, and the rider had no lights on. The authorities dismissed alcohol as a factor and will release further details as investigations continue.
