One unidentified person was killed after a deadly pedestrian accident in Turlock on Wednesday afternoon, November 17.

[11-17-2021] Stanislaus County, CA - One Person Killed After a Deadly Pedestrian Crash in TurlockThe fatal crash transpired at approximately 5:00 p.m. in the area of Lander Avenue near Bernell Avenue in Turlock.

A northbound GMC Sierra traveling on Lander Avenue struck a 66-year-old woman walking across a marked crosswalk for unclear reasons.

The older woman was immediately taken to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. Unfortunately, she later succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead.

The GMC driver remained at the scene and willingly cooperated with authorities. The driver was uninjured in the mishap.

It’s unclear whether drugs or alcohol were factors in the collision. Local authorities are further investigating the cause.
