Since more people are riding bicycles, there has been an increase in bicycle-related accidents.

Between 2007 and 2018, 8,908 cyclists in the United States died as a result of their work. This number was multiplied by 12 to arrive at the final result: the average. In 2018, 857 cyclists were killed, making it the deadliest year on record for cyclists.

The number of bicycle accidents in California has steadily increased over the years. A total of 155 people were killed in bicycle accidents in 2018 alone.

There are many instances where the driver did not yield the right of way, did not check for bikes before pulling out, or did not pay attention while driving to avoid an accident. Drunk driving, distracted driving, and careless driving can all result in a collision with a bicycle.
