[11-19-2021] Riverside County, CA – Disabled Person Injured After a Thousand Palms Pedestrian Crash

An unidentified disabled person was seriously hurt following a pedestrian crash in Thousand Palms on Friday afternoon, November 19, 2021.

The injury collision happened on Varner Road, just south of Ramona Road in Thousand Palms, at around 5:05 p.m.

The pedestrian was on their motorized wheelchair on the roadway when a passing gray Toyota suddenly struck them.

The disabled pedestrian sustained serious injuries in the crash. They were given first-aid at the scene before getting taken to Desert Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Information about the crash is limited at the moment. Local authorities are further investigating the case.
