[11-19-2022] Hit-And-Run Crash Injures 37-Year-Old Woman in SouthcrestA hit-and-run driver struck a 37-year-old woman crossing the street in Southcrest, San Diego, late Saturday night, November 19, 2022.

According to authorities, the deadly collision occurred just before 11:30 p.m. on Rigel Street.

The victim was crossing Rigel Street eastbound in the southbound lane when a car sped eastward in the eastbound lane.

When the vehicle struck her, the woman crossed in front of the car.

The car’s driver sped off and fled the scene for unknown reasons.

Responders immediately transported the victim to a nearby hospital, where doctors found a pelvic fracture but didn’t consider her injuries life-threatening.

It is unclear whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
