[11-19-2023] Man and Woman Killed After DUI Hit-And-Run Crash on Wilshire BoulevardA 32-year-old man and a 63-year-old woman were killed after a DUI hit-and-run crash in Los Angeles early Sunday afternoon, November 19, 2023.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the crash occurred around 5:20 p.m. on Wilshire Boulevard and Burlington Avenue.

The man and his mother were standing at the southeast corner of the avenue and the boulevard when he was fatally struck by a 31-year-old 2008 Cadillac CTS driver, identified as Isaiah V.

The man died at the scene, while his mother succumbed to her injuries in the hospital. Following the collision, the driver fled on foot and was caught about a block from the scene.

It was determined that the driver was under the influence of alcohol, and speed was also a factor. He was arrested on Monday on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter and was being held on a bail of $110,000.
