[11-20-2022] Shasta County, CA – One Injured in Bicycle vs. Vehicle Collision in Redding

Authorities said a bicyclist was hit by a vehicle in Redding on Sunday, November 20, 2022.

According to the Redding Police Department, the crash occurred at 6:03 p.m. at the Churn Creek Road and Le Brun Lane intersection.

The 47-year-old driver reportedly turned on Churn Creek in the southbound lane when it hit the male bicyclist.

The 51-year-old male cyclist was allegedly heading south on Churn Creek against traffic flow, thereby not following cyclist laws.

The authorities said the car driver complained of leg pain after the collision.

There were no other recorded injuries.
