A two-vehicle crash left one driver severely injured, and another driver killed in Fresno Monday afternoon, November 21, 2022.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred at about 5:00 p.m. at the North and Temperance Avenues intersection.
Authorities stated that a woman driving a Toyota Corolla was approaching a stop sign. The vehicle was also carrying a passenger.
A man in a Ford truck was reportedly approaching the intersection at the same time while traveling eastbound on North, which is not subject to stop signs.
The car stopped completely but drove into oncoming traffic at the intersection, colliding with the truck.
Both of the vehicles’ drivers suffered grave injuries.
Responders arrived at the scene and transported both victims to a nearby hospital, where the Corolla driver died from her injuries.
The truck driver is currently in the hospital. Meanwhile, the car’s passenger was uninjured.
An investigation is currently underway.
