[11-22-2022] Contra Costa County, CA – One Person Hospitalized After Two-Vehicle Collision in Richmond

Authorities said one person was hospitalized following a two-vehicle collision in Richmond on early Tuesday morning, November 22, 2022.

According to Richmond Firefighters Local 188, the union that represents Richmond Firefighters, the crash occurred on Richmond Parkway.

The collision involved two vehicles in which one rolled over many times before ending up down a steep embankment.

Engine and Rescue 68 members responded to the crash and had to use a rope system to lift the patient up to the side of the road.

The driver sustained serious injuries and was transported to a nearby trauma center.

There were no immediate updates regarding the collision as the investigation continued.
